baby belly week 39

Seven days to the 40-week due date. But I have it from someone that the baby will be born tomorrow, May 29. So I thought I'd post a belly picture—one last one?—just in case.

Anne and I are are enjoying these days off, going for walks and sitting on the porch. Anne has been doing prenatal yoga at home and listening to a hypnobirthing CD—to prepare her mind, body, spirit for the birth. And she's been taking advantage of the nice weather to lie outside in the sun.

I've taken hard to settling down and being idle, but I manage to find things to do around the house or otherwise. I feel pretty lucky to be able to share this time with Anne. And I will be able to share the whole summer here with her and the little one; the Nansen Fund has made and exception and granted me the fellowship while allowing me to forgo summer school. This makes me a very happy papa-to-be, and I know that Anne is very happy as well.
